Share your best moments - Natalie & Chris

October 2, 2017

This is part of a blog series which are all about YOU and YOUR STORIES! Every item of jewellery has a story; creating such meaningful pieces is very special to us, and we love to see more of how your story is unfolding once your jewellery leaves our care.

This commission was a fun one! Natalie and Chris came to me to discuss potential designs for their wedding rings, and Natalie had her heart set on a super sparkly pave set diamond ring, but when they were ready to get the ball rolling they decided to scale it back to a simple band (with the hope of potentially adding the diamonds at a later date) due to finances.... we ALL know that wedding costs creep up on you and seem to multiply out of the blue, even when you have been sticking to your 3 page excel spreadsheet ;)

Knowing that this was not truly what her heart desired, Chris came up with a plan; we created a "fake" wedding band that was given to the couple when they collected their rings, along with coordinating "fake" paperwork. Meanwhile, we created Natalie's dream ring in secret and passed it on to Chris, who swapped it on the morning of the wedding.

What a lovely surprise during the ceremony!

This lovely couple had a heart-warming ceremony in a sweet church before moving on to their pretty reception which was full to the brim of family fun. This wedding was not only for themselves, but also for their daughters  - and they LOVED joining in the celebrations.

Not only did they get their wedding rings from us, Natalie also commissioned a bespoke bridal headpiece and wore a pair of pearl stud earrings from our "classic pieces" collections. What a lovely way to tie together all her bridal accessories.

Cheers guys - here's to you, your daughters, and many MANY more happy years to come!
