Here at Kathleen Jackson Jewellery we believe it is important to mark sentimental occasions and celebrate your unique journey through life with your loved ones, showing them how you feel; eternity rings are the perfect way to do this, while also indulging your partner with a bit of sparkle - a meaningful piece which can leave a lasting impression on you and possible future generations.
It is important to choose with care as an eternity ring can be the ultimate expression of enduring love, and it is vital to choose a ring which suits your style as well as your bank balance,
The majority of the eternity rings we design and make are bespoke commissions, so if you want to discuss your own ideas please do feel free to get in touch regarding a design consultation to chat through the various options and come up with the perfect ring for you and your partner using your own inspirations.
The idea of an "eternal" ring originated in the Egyptian times when such items were created to be the ultimate symbol of everlasting love and everything it endures. Eternity rings as they are now known, are very special and often have a personal story or inspiration behind them. They are usually given at milestones in the relationship, most commonly on anniversaries or on the birth of a child; although other events are now triggering the purchase, such as significant birthdays, an elaborate valentines day, a special mothers day, and even other personal achievements (like overcoming a medical issue).
Just as the reasons and inspirations behind each eternity ring vary, as does the finger (or thumb) on which it is worn - some choose to wear one alongside their wedding and/or engagement ring, others in place of one/both of them, often on the ring finger on the other hand, even on a different finger all together... there are no "rules" and it is simply about celebrating the life you share with your partner.
Traditionally considered just for women, modern designs and fashion trends have now set the path for mens eternity rings too.
